This multisport journey explores Patagonia’s most stunning landscapes on foot, by bike, and through rafting. From the giant Araucaria forests of Conguillío National Park to the lush temperate rainforests of Pumalín Park, and culminating in the breathtaking diversity of Torres del Paine National Park, this experience highlights some of the 17 parks along the Route of Parks of Patagonia. TOUR ITINERARY

DAY 1

Arrival at Temuco Airport – Conguillío National Park

Welcome to North Patagonia! Arrive at Temuco Airport (ZCO) via a morning flight between 9:00 AM and 9:30 AM. After a scenic 1 hour 40 minute transfer to Conguillío National Park, enjoy a short hike to stretch your legs and take in the stunning surroundings. Meet your local guide in the evening, savor a traditional Pisco Sour, and join a welcome dinner at the lodge to kick off your adventure.

Overnight: La Baita Ecolodge, Conguillío National Park.
Activities: 2-hour hike (2-4 km / 1.2-2.5 mi), welcome drink, meet-and-greet with guide.

DAY 2

Hike the Sierra Nevada Trail at Conguillío National Park

Start with a short drive past Lake Verde and Lake Arcoiris, then begin hiking the Sierra Nevada trail surrounded by ancient araucaria trees and endemic birds like the Magellan Woodpecker and Slender-billed Parakeet. Stop at three viewpoints offering stunning angles of Conguillío Lake, Llaima Volcano, and Sierra Nevada Volcano. End the hike at Playa Linda before driving 2.5 hours to Pucón, Chile’s adventure capital. Check in to your lakeside hotel and enjoy the evening exploring the town’s restaurants and bars.

Activities: 4-6 hour hike (14 km / 8.7 mi), birdwatching, scenic stops, free time in Pucón.

DAY 3

Bike Ride the Lake and Volcano Scenic Route: “The 7 Lakes Circuit”

Start with a briefing, safety talk, and bike fitting before beginning one of Chile’s most scenic rides: The 7-Lake Circuit. Pedal alongside Lakes Villarrica, Calafquén, and Panguipulli on smooth, quiet roads with rolling hills and stunning views. Shuttle briefly in Villarrica to avoid traffic, then cycle through prairies, farms, and forests. Enjoy lunch at Foye Mapu, a Mapuche home, where you’ll learn about their culture and traditional food. After lunch, ride 18.4 km to Panguipulli and pedal to your boutique hotel by the lake.

Activities: 4-hour bike ride (70 km / 43.4 mi), cultural lunch stop, scenic cycling.

DAY 4

Bike Ride the Lake and Volcano Scenic Route
 “The German Settlers’ Circuit”

Start with a 2.5-hour transfer to Puerto Octay and begin cycling through villages with strong German heritage, such as Puerto Clocker and Ensenada. Ride along the northeast shore of Llanquihue Lake, surrounded by green fields, grazing cows, and views of Osorno, Calbuco, and Puntiagudo volcanoes. Pedal through Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park on quiet paved roads with stunning viewpoints. Finish at Petrohue, on the turquoise Todos Los Santos Lake, with the iconic Osorno Volcano in view. Celebrate with dinner at the lakefront lodge.

DAY 5

Petrohué River Rafting and Welcome to Puerto Varas

Start the day with an exhilarating rafting adventure on the Class III-IV rapids of the Petrohué River. After a safety briefing, paddle through thrilling sections like "Ciao Seco," "La Ese," and "El Nadador," surrounded by snow-capped volcanoes and native forests. Stop to swim and climb riverside cliffs before finishing the 13 km route. Return to the base for lunch, then enjoy a scenic drive to Puerto Varas. Spend the afternoon exploring this charming lakeside town and dine at one of its excellent restaurants.

DAY 6

Route of the Parks of Patagonia - Pumalín Park

Start early with a 30-minute flight from Puerto Varas to Chaitén, where your vehicle awaits. Begin the day with a 1-hour interpretative hike in El Amarillo, discovering the unique flora and fauna of the temperate rainforest. Later, drive to Caleta Gonzalo, enjoying breathtaking views of rivers, glacier valleys, and lush forests. Keep an eye out for the elusive Pudu, the world’s smallest deer, native to this region. Arrive at your cozy cabins with stunning fjord and mountain views, and savor a locally sourced dinner.

Activities: 1-hour guided hike (3 km / 1.8 mi), scenic drive, wildlife spotting.

DAY 7

Route of the Parks of Patagonia - Pumalín Park

After breakfast, explore different sections of Pumalín Park and learn about the conservation and rewilding efforts led by the Rewilding Foundation. Discover the legacy of Douglas Tompkins, whose donations helped create the Route of the Parks of Patagonia. Choose between hiking the iconic Chaitén Volcano trail (3.5 hours, 5 km, medium-high difficulty) or an interpretative hike to Cascadas Escondidas (3 hours, 2 km, low difficulty). Enjoy a final dinner and night in this breathtaking location before heading to Torres del Paine.

Activities: 3.5-hour volcano hike (5 km / 3.2 mi), interpretative hike option, conservation insights.

DAY 8

Arrival to Southern Patagonia: Rupestre Hike and Torres del Paine

Say goodbye to Pumalín Park and fly to Puerto Natales via Puerto Montt. A private transfer will take you to the Mylodon Cave Natural Monument, where Pleistocene-era remains were discovered. Explore the nearby private sector with condor colonies, native forests, and stunning views of Sofia Lagoon. Visit ancient cave paintings and a mysterious cave with millenary stalactite formations. End the day at the "Two Horseshoes" area to learn about indigenous history before heading to Riverside Camp for the night.

DAY 9

Route of the Parks of Patagonia: Hike to the Three Towers Lookout

Start early with an energizing breakfast before heading to the iconic Three Towers trek. After a 2-hour transfer to the Las Torres Sector, begin your ascent along the Ascencio River into the Ascencio Valley. Pass through lush beech forests, glaciers, and waterfalls, then climb a massive terminal moraine for breathtaking views of the Three Towers. Rest, take photos, and enjoy lunch at the 900 m (2,953 ft.) lookout. Descend via the same path and return to Riverside Camp.

Activities: 8-10 hour round-trip hike (22 km / 13.6 mi), glacier and forest exploration, Three Towers viewpoint.

DAY 10

Route of the Parks of Patagonia: Round-Trip Hike to Salto Grande and Mirador Cuernos


After breakfast, transfer along the Paine River past Lake Pehoe to Pudeto for a gentle round-trip hike. Pass Salto Grande Waterfall, where turquoise waters flow from Nordenskjöld Lake into Lake Pehoe. Enjoy boardwalk views of the Paine Grande and Cuernos mountains, then walk through fire-affected areas and along the black sandy beach of Nordenskjöld Lake. Reach the Cuernos lookout for breathtaking views of French Valley, Los Cuernos, and Paine Grande. Return to enjoy a snack before visiting the powerful Paine Waterfall and iconic Amarga Lagoon Lookout. End the day with a farewell dinner in Puerto Natales.

DAY 11

Route of the Parks of Patagonia: Goodbye Patagonia!

After a restful final night in the quiet coastal town of Puerto Natales, enjoy a free morning to relax or explore. Savor a farewell lunch at a great local restaurant before a private transfer takes you to Puerto Natales airport for your departure. Safe travels home! Inclusions: Lunch at a local restaurant. Overnight: N/A. Activities: Free morning, farewell lunch, airport transfer.
